14-12-2022	–	4.30 p. m.	–	The Ninth Meeting of the Board of KCCI for the financial year 2022-23 and the third meeting of the present committee of KCCI was held at the Board room of KCCI. Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and Special invitees.
16-12-2022	–	2.30 p. m.	–	Interactive meeting on First International Cultural Jamboree at Moodabidri with Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South was jointly organized by KCCI and KIA at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath delivered the welcome address. MLA, Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath addressed the gathering and invited all the members with their families for the event and also appealed to them to donate by cash or kind for the event. B. Nagaraja Shetty, Ex- Minister, GoK also addressed the members on the event and sought generous sponsorship. Vote of thanks was rendered by KIA President and KCCI Vice-President, CA Ananthesh V Prabhu. Also present were KCCI Hon. Secretaries, Shri B.A. Nazeer and Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and Directors Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Shri Amit Ramachandra, Shri P. B. 16-12-2022	–	2.30 p. m.	–	Women @ Work Conclave was conducted at the Mangaluru Technovanza event which was jointly organized by K-Tech, Women @ Work Initiative, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and Beyond Bengaluru at Dr. TMA Pai International Convention Centre, Mangaluru. Group discussion on ‘Women and Entrepreneurship’ had many Women participants. Smt. Vathika Pai, past President, KCCI was one of the panellists in the discussion.
16-12-2022	–	4.30 p. m.	–	The first sub-committee meeting of the KCCI for Internal Administration and Management for the year 2022-23 was held at the President’s Room of KCCI. The meeting was Chaired by CA Ananthesh V Prabhu, Chairman of Internal Administration and Management¸ sub-committee of KCCI. Present in the meeting were KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Secretaries of KCCI, Shri B.A. Nazir and Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, past President of KCCI, Shri Isaac Vas and Chairman of Labour sub-committee of KCCI, Shri Shamlal Yermal.
16-12-2022	–	5.00 p. m.	–	Comedkares, the state-of-the-art innovation hub was inaugurated by Shri N. Vinaya Hegde, President, Nitte Education Trust at Bharath Mall, Mangaluru. Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chairman, COMEDK presided over the event. Shri Gaurav Hegde, Chairman, CII Mangalore Chapter was the Special Guest on the occasion. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Director, Shri Anand G. Pai, Past President, Shri Isaac Vas attended the event.
16-12-2022	–	7.30 p. m.	–	K-Tech, Beyond Bengaluru and Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) organized Mangaluru Technovanza at T.M.A Pai International Convention Centre, Mangaluru. CEO Round Table Discussion was held with the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan, Minister of Electronics, IT-Bt ,Science and Technology, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Govt. of Karnataka. Other distinguished guests were Dr. E.V. Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT-Bt , Science and Technology, Department of Commerce & Industries, Govt. of Karnataka, Shri B.V. Naidu, Chairman, KDEM, Shri T V Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education and other dignitaries. KCCI was represented by its President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Director Shri Ashith Hegde, Past President, Smt. Vathika Pai and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A. KCCI President briefed the Minister, Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan about the long pending Mangaluru – Bengaluru National Highway apathy hindering trade and commerce activities in the coastal region, need for better train connectivity between Mangaluru and Bengaluru and exorbitant air fares between Mangaluru – Bengaluru – Mumbai routes.
19-12-2022	–	4.00 p. m.	–	Final Preparatory meeting of International Cultural Jamboree of Scouts and Guides 2022 in Moodabidri was held at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner office, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Member of Parliament, Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru, Shri Ravikumar M.R, Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner, Shri Akshy Sridhar, Mangaluru Police Commissioner, Shri Shashikumar and other dignitaries on stage. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Vice-President, CA Ananthesh V. Prabhu, Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A attended the meeting.
22-12-2022	–	12.15 p. m.	–	Start-Up Mind-Set, valedictory programme was jointly organized by Mangalore Productivity Council, AIC Nitte Incubation Centre, Swastika, Rotary Mangalore, Downtown, Vertex One at Vetex One, Ballalbhag, Mangaluru. Shri M.Ganesh Kamath, KCCI President and Shri R Ratheesh, GM – Transaction Banking, Union Bank of India, Mangaluru were the Chief Guests. Present on the occasion were CA S S Nayak, Past Chairman, ICAI Mangalore, Chief Convenor, Dr. Raghavendra Holla, Chairman, Swastika National School, Convenor, Dr. A.P. Achar, CEO, AIC Incubation Centre, Nitte, Shri U Rama Rao, President, Mangalore Productivity Council, Rtn. Nagaraj Kamath, President, Rotary Mangalore Downtown, Dr. Malini N Hebbar, Principal, Swastika National School.
26-12-2022	–	10.00 a. m.	–	KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath handed over the cheques received as donations from KCCI members, affiliated bodies of KCCI and independent association towards the International Cultural Jamboree held at Alva’s Campus, Moodabidri amounting to Rs. 5,23,030/- to Shri Srinivas Kini, Assistant District Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mangaluru at KCCI Chamber office. Also present on the occasion was Shri Narayana S, Secretary, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mangaluru. Some of the members also have contributed in kind to the event.
27-12-2022	–	11.00 a. m.	–	District level Single Window Sub-committee meeting was held at District Industries Centre (DIC), Yeyyadi, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Joint Director, DIC, Shri Gokuldas Naik. KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath attended the meeting.
28-12-2022	–	4.30 p. m.	–	Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) President, Dr. L. Ravindran visited KCCI and had interactive meeting with the KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath. Others present in the meeting were KCCI Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and Im. Past President of KCCI, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor.
30-12-2022	–	10.00 a. m.	–	KCCI Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar called in Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South at his residential office in Mangaluru and handed him the memorandum on various issues regarding KCCI representation in railways station consultative committees of Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction stations, District Tourism committee and also about matters related to Registered Newspaper of India (RNI) of KCCI journal. Also present KCCI Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A.
07-01-2023	–	9.30 a. m.	–	Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe Educational Institutions, Attavara, Mangalore celebrated their Annual Day event at Radha Bai P.V. Shet Kala Auditorium. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath was the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour was Dr. Rathi, Lecturer in Dept. of Economics, University Evening College, Mangaluru. The event was president by Smt. Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe, Managing Trustee, Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe Educational Trust. Principal, Ms. Bindusara Shetty and President, Student Council, Mr. Kishan was also present.
08-01-2023	–	9.15 a. m.	–	Namma Kudla 24X7 local TV channel celebrated bicentenary 200th episode of Business Tonic, presented by Karnataka Bank at Sri Sudhindra Auditorium, Canara Girls High School Campus, Mangaluru. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath was one of the guests in the event. CA S S Nayak anchored the event.
11-01-2023	–	1.15 p. m.	–	The opening of ‘Ghoomar’, traditional Rajasthani Thali restaurant was held at City Centre, Mangaluru. Chief Guest on the occasion was Shri Jayanand Anchan, Mayor, Mangaluru City Corporation. The guests of honour were, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI and Shri Pushparaj Jain, President, Credai, Mangaluru Chapter. Also present on the occasion were KCCI Hon. Secretary, Shri B. A. Nazeer, Director, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, past President of KCCI, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A.
		4.30 p. m.	–	The Tenth Meeting of the Board of KCCI for the financial year 2022-23 and the Fourth meeting of the present committee of KCCI was held at the Board room of KCCI. Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
12-01-2023	–	12.00 noon	–	Preparatory meeting of the Republic Day celebration was held at the Conference Room of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mangaluru. The meeting was chaired by Shri Ravikumar, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada district. Shri Krishnamoorthy, Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada district, Shri Akshy Sridhar, Commissioner, Mangaluru City Corporation, Shri Manjappa, Managing Director, MESCOM also addressed the gathering . KCCI Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A, attended the meeting.
14-01-2023	–	9.00 a. m.	–	The First Meeting of the Infrastructure and Urban Development and Smart City Sub-Committee of KCCI for the year 2022-23 was held at the Conference room of KCCI. Shri Ashok LP Mendonca, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Director, Shri Ashwin Pai Maroor and Past President of KCCI, Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor.
15-01-2023	–	6.00 p. m.	–	Lions International District 317D organized E-waste collection drive at City Centre Mall, Mangalore. The event was organized in association with KCCI, BNI Mangalore, City Centre & Association Of Consulting Civil Engineers(I) Mangalore Centre. The event was inaugurated by Shri Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South and was presided by Shri S. Sanjieth Shetty, District Governor of District 317 D. Chief Guests on the occasion were, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI and Shri Vasanth Kumar Shetty, Multiple Council Chairman of Multiple 317.
16-01-2023	–	3.00 p. m.	–	Meeting of the Automobile Sub-Committee of KCCI for the year 2022-23 was held at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. Shri Anand G Pai, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Vice-President, CA Ananthesh V Prabhu, Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Director and Convenor of Trade Cell of KCCI, Shri Aditya Padmanabha Pai and various automobile dealers of D. K. district attended the meeting.
17-01-2023	–	09.00 a. m.	–	The Second Meeting of the Startups Sub-Committee of KCCI for the year 2022-23 was held at the Conference Room of KCCI. Shri Viswas Uchila Shishir, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Vice-President, CA Ananthesh V Prabhu, Hon. 16-11-2022	–	11.00 a. m.	–	Preparatory meeting on the International Cultural Jamboree, hosted by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka State to be held at Alva’s Education Institution, Vidyagiri, Moodabidri from 21st to 27th December was organized at Scouts Bhavan, Mangaluru. The meeting was Chaired by Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South. Several associations from Mangaluru participated in the meeting. KCCI Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A., attended the meeting.
		4.30 p. m.	–	The Eighth Meeting of the Board of KCCI for the financial year 2022-23 and the Second meeting of the present committee of KCCI were held at the Board room of KCCI. Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI chaired the meeting in the presence of other Office Bearers, Directors and special invitees.
19-11-2022	–	10.00 a. m.	–	Inauguration of Family Business Scale Up Forum – Transforming Family Businesses into Business Families was held at World Konkani Centre, Mangaluru. Shri Ullas Kamath, Former Jt. MD, Jyothy Labs Ltd. and Founder, UK & Co., Shri Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI, CA Nandagopal Shenoy, President, Konkani Bhas Ani Sanskriti Prathistan and Director of KCCI, Shri Daniel Periera, Representative, SIRC of ICAI, were present on the occasion. CA Nandagopal Shenoy welcomed the gathering and gave them an overview of the forum. Shri Ullas Kamath and Shri Ganesh Kamath, addressed the gathering. Past President of KCCI, Smt. Vathika Pai compered the session.
21-11-2022	–	7.00 a. m.	–	120th Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Ullal Shrinivas Mallya was observed at the Ullal Shrinivas Mallya Circle, Padil, Mangaluru, by garlanding the bust of the stalwart installed by World Konkani Centre in association with Nitte University. KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Secretary Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and Director CA Nandagopal Shenoy garlanded the bust among other dignitaries present.
		9.30 a. m.	–	The opening ceremony of the Corporate Office of Mangala Resource Management Pvt. Ltd. was held at Rama Bhavan Complex, Kodialbail, Mangaluru. An eco-startup born out of volunteerism involved in the Ramakrishna Mission Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan four years ago, the objective is to institutionalize the experience gained from the Abhiyan and put efforts into organizing the waste management sector. KCCI President Shri M Ganesh Kamath was one of the special invitees on the occasion.
23-11-2022	–	7.00 p. m.	–	Puttur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) invited KCCI for an interactive meeting between two chambers. The meeting was held at Puttur Club, Mareel, Puttur. KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Office Bearers and Directors of the Board attended. Puttur Chamber President Shri John Cutinha delivered the welcome address. Committee Member, Shri Surendra Kini briefed about the Puttur Chamber. Vice-President of Puttur Chamber introduced the KCCI guests to the Board members. KCCI President addressed the Puttur Chamber. Important issues pertaining to the region were discussed. Closing remarks were rendered by Puttur Chamber President, Shri John Cutinha. Vote of thanks was given by Vice-President, PCCI, Shri M. Sooryanatha Alva.
24-11-2022	–	11.00 a. m.	–	The Commercial Tax Department of Mangaluru conducted their second Consultative Committee meeting at KCCI Meeting Hall to discuss about the action taken on grievances received in the last meeting and to know any other concerns. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Meera Pandit, Joint Commissioner – Administration, Directorate of Goods and Services Tax (DGST). Dr. Kumar Nayak G., Joint Commissioner – Enforcement was also present. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath welcomed the guests and members from various trade bodies who attended the meeting. KCCI Vice President, CA Ananthesh V Prabhu, KCCI Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, KCCI Director, CA Nandagopal Shenoy, Member of GST Sub-committee of KCCI, Shri Ganesh Bhat, President and members of SIRC, Branch of ICAI, Mangaluru, Members of Trucks Bar Association, Mangaluru, GSTP, Mangaluru and tax consultants were also present in the meeting and shared their concerns and suggestions.

Shri Vishwas Uchila Shishir, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Vice President, CA Ananthesh V Prabhu, Hon. Secretary Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar.
25-11-2022	–	4.00 p. m.	–	The first sub-committee meeting of the KCCI for Accounts and Audit for the year 2022-23 was held at the President’s room of KCCI. CA Chandrakanth Rao, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary, Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, Chief Operating Officer, Shri Mytreya A and Accountant Shri Francis Lobo attended the meeting.
		4.30 p. m.	–	The first sub-committee meeting of the KCCI for Women Entrepreneurs for the year 2022-23 was held at the conference room of KCCI. Ms. Rahasya Pai Maroor, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and members of the sub-committee, Smt. Vathika Pai and Ms. Ashrika Amin.
		5.00 p. m.	–	The first sub-committee meeting of the KCCI for Membership Services for the year 2022-23 was held at the conference room of KCCI. Smt. Vathika Pai, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and members of the sub-committee, Ms. Rahasya Pai Maroor and Ms. Ashrika Amin.
26-11-2022		6.30 p. m.	–	Valedictory function of Late Shri Ullal Srinivas Mallya’s Birth Anniversary and Members’ Day Celebrations 2022 was organized by New Mangalore Port User’s Welfare Association, Association of New Mangalore Port Stevedores, Mangalore Steamer Agents Association, Mangalore Custom House Agents Association, Ship Chandlers Association of New Mangalore Port at Hotel Moti Mahal, Falnir, Mangaluru. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju, Chairman, New Mangalore Port Authority, Guest Speaker on the occasion was CA S.S. Nayak, Past Chairman, ICAI, Mangaluru. KCCI Hon. Treasurer CA Abdur Rahman Musba attended the event.
		7.30 p. m.	–	Young Indians (YI) Annual Day event was held at Suratkal Mukka Guest House. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath attended the event.
30-11-2022	–	10.30 a. m.	–	Kanara Industries Association (KIA) organized a series of BUSINESS IDEAS 101. The second episode of this series titled “Technology Transfer in Food Industry & Building Your Brand” and Build your Brand by Vintegra Phygital – Vertebrand was organized in association with, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Young Indians (Yi), BNI, District Small Industries Association (DSIA) and Evolve. The event was held at KIA Hall, Baikampady, Mangaluru. KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Vice-President CA Ananthesh V. Prabhu, Director Shri P.B. Ahmed Mudassar, Director Ms. Athmika Amin, and Chief Operating Officer Shri Mytreya A were present at the event. Members from the industries and faculties and students from a few colleges in Mangaluru also participated.
01-12-2022	–	11.00 a. m.	–	Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), PG Department of Business Administration, Moodabidri in association with Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) organized, motivational talk for students on the topic, “My Story” by successful entrepreneur, Shri Vincent Cutinha, Director, KCCI (Proprietor – Anupama Feeds and Farms, Moodabidri) at the Seminar Hall of the college. Dr.Peter Fernandes Principal, AIET, Dr. Catherine, IIC Coordinator and Mrs. Priya Sequeira, HoD, PG Dept. of MBA were also present.
02-12-2022	–	11.00 a. m.	–	KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath called on Ms. Reena Shetty I.R.S., Commissioner of Customs at her office at New Customs House, Panambur, Mangaluru. He apprised her about the activities of KCCI towards the development of trade and commerce in the region. Others present at the meeting were KCCI Hon. Secretaries, Shri B. A. Nazir and Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar, KCCI GST Sub-committee Chairman, CA Keshava N. Ballakuraya and CA Vikas Shenoy.
		5.30 p. m.	–	Preparatory meeting on the International Cultural Jamboree, hosted by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka State to be held at Alva’s Education Institution, Vidyagiri, Moodabidri from 21st to 27th December was organized at Scouts Bhavan, Mangaluru. Shri Shamlal Yermal, Chairperson of the Sub-committee chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Hon. Treasurer, CA Abdur Rahman Musba, Hon. Secretary Shri Divakar Pai Kochikar and member of the sub-committee, Shri Prabhoda.

07-12-2022	–	2.00 p. m.	–	KCCI in association with the Office of Commissioner of Central Excise and Central Tax (CE & CT) (GST), Mangaluru, organized an interactive session on Recent Changes in GST Laws, Issues of Refunds under GST, E-invoice Compliance at the Meeting Hall of KCCI. The Chief Guest for this event was Shri Imamuddin Ahmad I.R.S., Commissioner of CE&CT (GST), Mangaluru. After the KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath welcomed the chief guest, he was introduced to the audience by KCCI Vice President, CA Ananthesh V Prabhu. KCCI GST Sub-committee Chairperson, CA Keshava Ballakuraya apprised the audience about the importance of the topics. The Chief Guest delivered his keynote address to the session. Shri Sooryanarayana Rao, Superintendent of Central Tax, Bunder & Pandeshwar Range of Mangaluru South Division spoke on the topic, ‘Recent Changes in GST Laws’, Shri K. Ganesh Hegde, Superintendent of Central Tax (Technical III), Udupi Division, addressed the audience on Issues of refunds under GST, CA Sabana from M/s. 16-09-2022	–	2.30 p. m.	–	Southern Railway, Palghat Division held their 159th meeting of Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) at Valluvanad Meeting Hall at Divisional Office, Palakkad. Shri M. Ahmed Bawa, representing KCCI as a nominated member of DRUCC partook in the meeting. Various suggestions were placed before the meeting pertaining to Mangaluru Central Railway Station.
		2.30 p. m.	–	A Workshop on GST Departmental Audit and Annual Return was organized by KCCI at their Meeting Hall, Bunder, Mangaluru. Ms. Meera Pandit, Joint Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Mangaluru was the Chief Guest who addressed the audience. KCCI President Shri M.Ganesh Kamath delivered the Welcome Address. Other speakers were CA Coline O. Rodrigues who spoke on the topic, ‘GST Audit notices and how to respond to such notices’ and CA Vikas Shenoy on the topic, ‘Filing of Form 9 under GST – its importance and implications’. KCCI then Hon. Secretary Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed presented the vote of thanks.

		2.30 p. m.	–	New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) under the aegis of Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Govt. of India had the Virtual Inauguration (Lokarpan) and Foundation Stone Laying (Shilanyas) of various projects of New Mangalore Port and Mormugao Port by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa at BDC Auditorium, NMPA. Ganesh Kamath called on Ms. Shikha C., Commissioner for Commercial Taxes, Govt. of Karnataka during her visit to Department of Commercial Tax, Mangaluru. President apprised her about the Chamber activities and various seminars being conducted for its members on GST and other related topics. KCCI Director, Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed, Chairman of GST Sub-committee of KCCI, CA Keshava N. Ballukaraya, KCCI Past Treasurer, Shri Ganesh Bhat also briefed her on trade activities and various representations submitted to central and state governments. 07-11-2022	–	4.30 p. m.	–	KCCI President, Shri M. Ganesh Kamath, Office Bearers and Board of Directors called on Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (MP), on Monday, 7th November at his residential office at Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala. The President introduced all Office Bearers and Board of Directors to Dr. Heggade. Past President of KCCI Smt. Vathika Pai briefed Dr. Heggade about the role of KCCI in the development of trade and commerce of the region. Dr. Heggade was felicitated by the KCCI President and other Office Bearers. KCCI President also submitted a memorandum to Dr. Heggade on “Intervention towards completion of four-laning of National Highway 75 and strengthening of NH 275” and urged him to take them up with the Government of India, Ministry of Road, Transport & highways for giving highest priority towards the early completion of projects for ensuring seamless connectivity. 09-11-2022	–	3.30 p. m. to 5.30 p. m.	–	ISAI MSME Yatra & MSME Sethu (75 days – 75 cities – 75 programmes) organized by Mangaluru Branch of SIRC of ICAI in association with Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Kanara Industries Association (KIA), District Small Industries Association (DSIA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mangaluru. The inaugural address was presented by Deputy Director, District Industries Centre (DIC), Shri Vivekananda G at DSIA Auditorium, Yeyyadi Industrial Area. Session on “Empowering of MSMEs by Financial Institutions” was conducted by the officials of SBI, SIDBI, NSIC. The flagging off of the bus yatra was done by KCCI President Shri M. Ganesh Kamath along with other dignitaries at Yeyyadi Industrial Area. The second session of the event was conducted at Kanara Industries Association (KIA) Auditorium. KCCI President Shri M. 10-11-2022	–	2.30 p. m.	–	Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) organized BCIC Emerging Star Award 2023, Namma Startup Award road show event at K-tech Innovation Hub, Mangaluru. KCCI was the supporting partner of the event. Around 50 startups registered for the award and attended the event. The event had three speakers addressing the startup companies. Shri Ganesh Kamath, President, KCCI addressed the gathering on the topic, ‘Opportunities to Startup in Coastal Karnataka’. Shri Rabindra Sah, Chief Engineer – Strategic Project Tata Technologies spoke on the topic, ‘Implementation of Deep Tech with Design Thinking’. Interactive meeting on First International Cultural Jamboree at Moodabidri from December 21st to December 27th, 2022 with Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South was jointly organized by KCCI and KIA at the Meeting Hall of KCCI on Friday 16th December 2022. MLA, Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath addressed the gathering and invited all the members with their families for the event and also appealed the members to donate by cash or kind for the event. B. Nagraj Shetty, Ex- Minister, GoK also addressed the members and sought generous sponsorship.
