19-04-2021   10.00 a.m   Review Meeting was held at District Commissioner office, Mangaluru chaired by        Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada on issues related to various projects undertaken by Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) & Mangaluru Smart City Limites (MSCL), issues related to various administrative reforms and issues related to various policy formulation. 22-04-2021       KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas attended the meeting held at District Commissioner office, Mangaluru with regard to Covid restrictions and guidelines set by the government.
08-05-2021   01.00 p.m   Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate’s Office (DDMA) conducted meeting at Deputy Commissioner Office, Mangaluru to discuss the revised SoPs for the major industries of Dakshina Kannada District during Covid – 19 lockdown under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, DDMA, Dakshina Kannada District. KCCI was represented by the Vice-President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor.

   Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) organized virtual Interactive Session with Shri Jagadish Shetter, Hon’ble Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka. KCCI was represented by its President Shri Isaac Vas who briefed the minister about the impact of lockdown towards industries due to Covid 19 in Dakshina Kannada District.
13-05-2021       KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas hands over the cheque of Rs. 7.50 lakh drawn in favour of Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District, at D.C office, Mangaluru from the KCCI President’s Fund towards Contribution for installation of Oxygen Generation Plant at Lady Goschen Government Hospital, Mangaluru. The cheque was handed to Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel, M.P, Dakshina District. Vice President Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor was also present in the event.
14-05-2021   11.30 a.m   Charitable Trusts – Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi through Ishwarambha Trust and Rotary Club of Mangalore presented the cheques totalling of Rs. 7 lakh to the Deputy Commissioner Dr. K. KCCI had facilitated the same. KCCI Vice President and Treasurer of D.K. Automobile & Tyre Dealers’ Association Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President of D.K. 24-05-2021   04.00 p.m   Tariff Authority for Major Ports, Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India organized a joint hearing through Video Conference with regard to the proposal from the New Mangalore Port Trust for fixation of user charges for utilization of fire fighting facility  at Berth No. 9 installed and operated by M/s. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. KCCI Director and Hon. Secretary Shri Abdur Rahman Musba attended the hearing.

   Coastal Vision Group meeting was held through Video Conference. The meeting was chaired by Shri K. Ullas Kamath, Chairman of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Karnataka State Council, Joint Managing Director of Jyothy Labs, Mumbai. KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas, Past President of KCCI Smt. Vathika Pai, Director of KCCI Shri Nandagopal Shenoy who are part of the coastal vision group attended the meeting. The Coastal Vision Group presented its proposals to be suggested to Govt. of Karnataka on tourism, medical tourism and fisheries in Coastal Karnataka.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shri Hariram Shankar, Chairman of International Affairs & CSR Committee of Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Bengaluru Dr. V.G Kiran Kumar were also present.

26-02-2021 – 7.30 p. m. – Memorandum was submitted to Shri C. P. Yogeshwara, Honourable Minister of Forest Environment & Ecology Department, Govt. of Karnataka at The Ocean Pearl, Kodialbail, Mangalore to reconsider the increase of consent fee for establishment/consent to operate under KSPCB Rules which will badly impact many industries. KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas submitted the memorandum to the minist er. Shri Kalbavi Prakash Rao, Past Hon. Secretary of KCCI and other industry representatives who were present also appraised minister about their concerns.
27-02-2021 – 6.30 p. m. – KCCI Members’ Day Conclave 2021 was held at The Ocean Pearl, Kodialbail, Mangaluru. Shri K Ullas Kamath, Joint Managing Director, Jyothy Labs Ltd. Mumbai enthralled the audience with his inspiring lecture. Shri Isaac Vas, President, KCCI welcomed Shri Kamath and the members. The Past Presidents present were honoured by Shri Isaac Vas. Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Vice President, KCCI delivered the vote of thanks. The event also had enlivening flute performance by Shri Lokesh Salian along with other musicians who accompanied him.

09-03-2021 – 11.00 a. m. – Meeting was held at District Skill Centre, Mangaluru City Corporation to discuss on assisting them in the Data Analytics of the registrations of job seekers and also on setting up of training platforms and placement opportunities to the job seekers of Dakshina Kannada District. President of KCCI, Shri Isaac Vas invited the team from the Alva’s College of Engineering and Technology to take this initiative. Dr. Peter Fernandes, Principal and Dr. Claret Mendonca, Head – PG Department of Business Administration (MBA) present during the occasion briefed the Board about the college initiatives and activities.

Industries Minister Shri Jagadish Shetter inaugurated the event in presence of Dakshina Kannada M.P Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel and other dignitaries. 25-01-2021 – 11.15 a. m. – Meeting with District Minister Shri Kota Shrinivas Poojary was held at District Commissioner office to discuss about initiatives taken by the Chamber towards withdrawal of proposed increase in tariff by MESCOM, setting up of an IT park in Mangalore, inviting TESLA to Mangalore and setting up of Honey Testing lab in Mangalore. KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) on IT park to the District Minister. The meeting was attended by the Vice President of KCCI Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor and the Director CA Nandagopal Shenoy to brief him about the need of setting up of NABL accredited Honey Testing lab in Mangalore which will help in doubling the income of farmers as per the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India towards Atmanirbhar Bharat.

15-02-2021 – 10.00 a. m, – St. Aloysius College students’ team met the President of KCCI Shri Isaac Vas and the Director and Key Driver of Focus Area of Industry Academia Interconnect Shri P.B. 5.30 p. m. – K-Tech Innovation Hub, Mangalore under the Chairmanship of Dr. Raghunandan Rajamani held meeting with various start-ups and industrialists to discuss on various issues for the coastal industries hackathon, developing a solution for cashew industry, why and how to invest in start-up etc. KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas and Shri P.B. Mudassar, Director of KCCI attended the event.

09-01-2021 – 4.00 p. m. – Swastha Mangaluru Samithi conducted a short programme focusing on the systematic methods of handling Solid Waste Management, a project proposal regarding segregation, collection and treating the waste from our Mangaluru city at St Aloysius College. Shri Isaac Vas, President, KCCI attended the event.

25-11-2020 –     The 30th Customs Clearance Facilitation (CCFC) meeting was attended by Shri Jeethan Allen Sequeira, Chairman of the EXIM Cell of KCCI on virtual platform.
28-11-2020 –     Shri Isaac Vas, President, KCCI submitted memorandum      on Establishing an Information Technology (IT) Park at Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada to Dr. C. N. Ashwathnarayan, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka at the BJP Office, Mangaluru. Shri Ashith B. Hegde, Chairperson of the IT Sub-Committee of KCCI, Shri Gaurav Hegde, Past Secretary of KCCI and Shri Dikshith Rai, Head of Codecraft and Past Director of KCCI were present.

02-12-2020 – 10.30 a. m. – District Level Export Promotion Committee (DLEPC) for Promotion of Exports was held at District Commissioner office in Mangaluru. KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas attended the meeting.
04-12-2020 – 3.30 p.m. – Meeting on CLAF was held at Mangaluru City Corporation as part of Smart City Project. Progress and proposals of the Water Front Project by the consultants were discussed.      Shri Shashidhar Pai Maroor, Vice President, KCCI attended the meeting.

16-12-2020 –     The 103rd Annual General Meeting of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) was held at Sir M.V. Auditorium, Bengaluru. KCCI Past President            Shri P.B Adbul Hameed attended the session on virtual platform.
17-12-2020       KCCI Past President Shri P.B. Abdul Hameed and Honorary Secretary of KCCI Shri Nissar Fakeer Mohammed attended the FKCCI Election of new Management Committee and Office Bearers for the year 2020-21.
        Past President of KCCI Shri P.B. Abdul Hameed was elected as the Director of FKCCI Managing Committee for the year 2020-21 at the election held at Sir M. V. Auditorium of FKCCI in Bengaluru.
18-12-2020 – 11.00 a. m. – KCCI President Shri Isaac Vas was the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony of the New Production facility of Star Flex Industries, Baikampady, Mangaluru.
    3.30 p. m. – Sub-Committee meeting of the APMC committee was held at the Chamber to discuss the increase of APMC cess from 0.35% to 1.00% by the state government. The meeting was attended by KCCI Past Presidents Shri P.B. Abdul Hameed and Shri G. G. Mohandas Prabhu.
